Principal Named at BHS

HeadshotWe are pleased to announce that Shannon Abraham has been selected as the Principal at Bartlett High School beginning with the 2024-2025 academic school year.

Mr. Abraham earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Tennessee at Martin and has dedicated his career to education. He presently holds the position of principal at Arlington High School. Prior to this role, he served as principal at our Bartlett High Ninth Grade Academy and as vice principal at Bartlett High School. With a cumulative experience of nearly twenty-five years, Mr. Abraham began his journey as a science teacher (Biology and Chemistry) and has since spent fifteen years at various levels of school administration, including assistant principal, vice principal, and principal.

Dr. David Stephens, Superintendent of Bartlett City Schools, stated, "I am pleased to announce Shannon Abraham as the new principal of Bartlett High School. With his extensive experience as BHS vice principal and our Bartlett Academy principal, along with his recent tenure as a high school principal, Shannon is well-prepared for this role. His dedication to student achievement, support for teachers, and effective communication make him an ideal fit and we welcome him back to Bartlett High School."

Mr. Abraham succeeds Dr. Chris Maley, who was recently named Chief Academic Officer for Bartlett City Schools. Excited to rejoin the Bartlett community, Mr. Abraham looks forward to building relationships with students, families, and the community. He is enthusiastic about his return to Bartlett High School and is eager to maintain its high standards of education.
