The Board of Mayor and Aldermen will interview applicants, and then vote on the appointment in September.
In order to be eligible to be a member of the Bartlett City Board of Education, a candidate must be:
- A citizen of the State of Tennessee;
- Achieved a high school diploma or GED;
- Attained the age of 18 years of age;
- A resident and qualified voter of the City of Bartlett and have lived within the corporate limits of the City of Bartlett for a period of one year immediately preceding the submission date;
The appointee will serve until the next regular November General Election, which will be held in 2020.
The candidate elected in November 2020 will serve a full four-year term.
