The Shelby County Health Department (SCHD) has formally issued an amendment to Health Order Number 24 now requiring universal masking in K-12 schools in Shelby County.
With the SCHD issuing a mask mandate for universal masking in all K-12 schools for teachers, staff, students and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, BCS is required to follow this mandate beginning Monday, August 9th inside all BCS school buildings. This order does not impact any outdoor activities at this time.
Our mission remains to provide a safe learning environment for our students, teachers, and staff. It is our hope that the safety restrictions can be less restrictive as the situation improves over the course of the school year.
