The Tennessee Department of Education recently announced the results of its annual school accountability model for school districts across the state. Bartlett City Schools is pleased to announce that seven of our schools have been awarded Reward School status. The schools receiving this designation are: Altruria Elementary, Appling Middle, Bartlett Elementary, Bon Lin Elementary, Ellendale Elementary, Oak Elementary, and Rivercrest Elementary. This status places these schools among the top in the state for improving overall student academic achievement and student growth for all students and student subgroups.
In addition to our Reward School Status, Bartlett City Schools was also named as an Advancing district, the second-highest achievement for meeting growth expectations and overall achievement. This announcement comes on the heels of Bartlett City Schools earning straight 5’s in system-wide TVAAS scores and an overall Level 5 score. These TVAAS scores reflect impressive gains in student academic growth.
Superintendent Dr. David Stephens expressed, “Being recognized as having multiple Reward Schools, as well as being named an Advancing district, is a compliment to the dedicated work that our students, teachers, staff, and parents do every day. We are extremely proud of all their efforts and look forward to building on this success.”
