Dr. Lora C. Filsinger has served as an Assistant Principal at Bartlett High School since 2012. Over these years, she has held a variety of administrative roles and responsibilities. Among other duties, she currently oversees campus safety and security, emergency procedures, and 12th grade discipline. Prior to her Assistant Principal position, she taught courses in Business Education for seven years at Bolton High School, where she was also the Head Coach of the Varsity Girls’ Basketball team. Dr. Filsinger earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Rhodes College and was point guard and captain of the Women’s Basketball team. She then received a Master of Arts in Teaching with focus on Instruction and Curriculum Leadership from the University of Memphis. Later, she earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Education degree focused on Leadership in Educational Administration from Capella University.
Dr. Chris Maley, new Principal of Bartlett High School for the 2023-2024 school year, stated, “Dr. Filsinger will do an amazing job in the role of Vice Principal. Her passion for our students, teachers, and community is evident in everything that she does. I am excited for her to begin this role as we continue to build upon the previous successes at Bartlett High School.”
Dr. Filsinger states that it has been an honor and a privilege to serve in a leadership role for such an amazing school and school district. She is looking forward to continuing to support students and faculty while working with families and the community in her new position as Vice Principal. There is truly no place she would rather “B”!
