BCS Named with Top Honors

Bartlett City Schools has been awarded a prestigious LEVEL 5 DISTRICT designation, the highest possible distinction in the state’s TVAAS (Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System) accountability system. This honor recognizes the exceptional academic performance and growth across all schools, demonstrating our collective commitment to student success and excellence in education.

Several of our schools have earned a REWARD SCHOOL designation, placing them among the top schools in the state for academic achievement and student growth. Congratulations to our 2023-2024 Reward Schools: Bon Lin Elementary, Ellendale Elementary, Bon Lin Middle, Bartlett High Ninth Grade Academy, and Bartlett High School. This recognition underscores our mission to empower every student to achieve their best while fostering growth across all student groups.

Additionally, BCS has also been recognized as an ADVANCING DISTRICT, the second-highest distinction for meeting growth expectations and overall achievement. This acknowledgment highlights our ongoing dedication to continuous improvement and ensuring every student’s success.

Superintendent Dr. David Stephens celebrated these accomplishments by saying,
“Being recognized as having multiple Reward Schools, and being named an Advancing District, is a compliment to the dedicated work that our students, teachers, staff, and parents do every day. Also, being named a Level 5 District further defines our continued commitment to investing in the educational journey of all our students. I could not be prouder of these efforts and look forward to building on this success.”

These accomplishments reflect the collaborative spirit that makes Bartlett City Schools a leader in education. Together, we are building an environment where academic growth, character development, and lifelong learning thrive.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributes to the students’ success and look forward to achieving even greater milestones in the future.
