For students with IXL accounts, they will practice various math skills previously taught in order to review. Greeting Parents: First, students will need to watch the video to learn all about mosquitoes- the good, the bad, and the ugly. Then, students will open the file to read and follow directions to complete research to answer questions to gain background knowledge. Students will be gaining this knowledge to answer the question, "Should we make mosquitoes extinct, and what would happen if we did?"

First, you will need to watch the video linked in order to learn all about mosquitoes. Then, you will open the attached file to read and follow directions to answer 6 research questions with detail, remembering to cite your sources. Your goal in this research is to decide where you stand to answer the question, "Should We Make Mosquitoes Extinct, and What Would Happen if We Did?" You will research about the role or niche of mosquitoes in their ecosystems, as well as the pros and cons of eliminating these pesky insects. You will receive instructions next week on how to make your claim and present your side of the issue.
