3. Pause to discuss vocabulary and concepts, and to prompt your child to make connections to their own lives.

5. After the quiz, have your child write and journal what they learned.
6. Ask your child to share a fact they learned in the movie.

Encourage your child to do the challenge of stopping plastic pollution, by not using plastic straws. Another option is to have your child find other ways to protect our earth not just in April on Earth Day but everyday. Write about what you will pledge to do to help the earth.

Option 2: Student will login into Clever with their Clever ID and password. Select the Studies Weekly icon. Make sure to select the 2nd Grade text. Scroll down to "Week 15" and click Continue Reading. You can read the text or listen to it as it reads it for you. You can answer the questions and complete the activities. When you earn coins, you can earn game time. When you are done, you can also complete Week 17.
