4. Why are plastic straws bad for the environment?
5. How many plastic straws do we go through in a day?
6. What happens to straws when we throw them away?
7. How can plastic litter harm animals?
8. How much plastic trash goes into oceans annually?
9. What can you do to stop plastic pollution? Write what you will do to help the environment and illustrate it. Take a picture and upload to your journal in SeeSaw.

Encourage your child to do the challenge of stopping plastic pollution, by not using plastic straws. Another option is to have your child find other ways to protect our earth not just in April on Earth Day but everyday. Write about what you will pledge to do to help the earth.
