Parent Instructions
1. Create a free account on Brain Pop Jr.
2. Watch the video on BrainPop Jr. - Adjectives (You can play the adverbs part as a review).
3. After watching the video, have your child complete the Adjective Worksheet. 
4. After completing the worksheet, have your child create their own writing piece by completing the Adjective Writing Activity. Your child will create a story about a Gingerbread Pirate. Make sure your child includes adjectives in their writing. He/she should underline or highlight all adjectives. (If your child needs more room, he/she can complete the writing on a separate sheet of paper)
5. Take a picture of their work and upload their Gingerbread Pirate writing and read their story for their teacher to see.

1. With a grown up, click on the BrainPOP Jr link. 
2. Watch the video on BrainPop Jr. - Adjectives. Tell your grown up what adjectives are used in the video and what they describe.

1. Watch the video to review 3 digit subtraction with a zero - Khan Academy Video
2. Complete the two worksheets.
Page 1 has a visual representation using base ten blocks and is helpful if you child is struggling with the concept. Go through the example problem step by step.
On the bottom of page 1 are three problems for them to work. One of the problems DOES NOT need regrouping. Ask your child why it doesn’t need regrouping. It is extremely important that they understand and can explain when you need to regroup and when you don’t.
