Parent Instructions
This can be used as one lesson or stretched to 5 days of mini lessons. Click on the link to watch the youtube video of the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears read aloud, or if you have the book at home read it before beginning the activity. After reading the story, download the file that will walk you and your child through daily discussion and writing activities about the story. When the document says tell your partner, be your child's partner and engage in discussion about the questions with them. Encourage them to speak and write in full sentences.

Parent Instructions
1. Have child watch the video. 2. Print the digraph activity. 3. Tell child to point to each word and read the short story to you. 4. After reading, ask the child if they see any words with digraphs in it that they learned from the video? 5. Have the child highlight/circle all of the words with digraphs and as they go and to write them on one of the lines at the bottom in which it belongs for example: fish has the digraph -sh and should be written under the -sh digraph at the bottom. 6. Once the child has finished finding them all have the child use some of the words in a sentence. Have them create a sentence using those words. 7. Have the child come up with more words that have those digraphs and add them to their activity.

You will need one dice in order to complete activity Have your child to roll one dice and write the number that is rolled in the 1st box. 2nd box write the number that needs to be added in order to make 10.

Parents watch the addition and subtraction song with your child. Download the math task addition/subtraction story problems. There are 4 story problems. Read the problem with your child. Ask them to solve the problem by drawing pictures and using the number line. Ask them to write the equation. Point out the plus and minus sign and ask your child to tell you it's name.

Sing along with the addition and subtraction song. Show what you know. Your parent will read a story problem to you. Decide if you should add or subtract. Draw a picture to show how you would solve the problem. Use the number line to show how you would solve the problem. Write the equation. Have fun!

The student will watch the story, Peanut Butter and Jellyfish by Jarrett J. Krosoczka and then read the book, My Home in the Water by J. Patrick Lewis. Next go to Puzzlers and complete Word Match, Fact or Fiction, and Which Came First. Go back to thr page where Day 16 is located and watch the video, Ocean of Life and then click on the art activity to complete the ocean craft.
