1) Watch the BrainPOP Jr. video on arrays
2) Create a "city of arrays". To do this, have your child cut squares of construction paper to glue on to the city buildings to represent a repeated addition equation. (Students could also just draw squares if needed).
If you need a visual of what this will look like, you can Google "array city" to see lots of examples of this art activity!
3) Write the repeated addition equation at the top of each city building, then write the multiplication problem that represents that equation.
